A friends computer at work has an error message that says:
The procedure entry point atoi could not be located in the dynamic link library cygwin1.dll
If he clicks ok he said another error similar in nature pops up if he clicks ok again it goes back to the orginal message (back and forth you get the idea). He has Windows NT 4.0 on his computer. I'm not sure what caused it but he thinks he got a virus. He clicked on a link in an e-mail from a friend and that message began to pop up. Someone in work who knows a little bit about computers (not alot) helped him run norton and found the virus. My friend isn't sure what he did to get rid of it. He thinks the guy said something about deleting it in the registry which leads me to believe it is still sitting on the computer only hiding under the radar or Norton.
What can I tell him to get rid of the message. He can work right now but the box is always open.
