i don't remember how to get the boot menu(safe mode, command promt...) to show when i boot up?

During boot up, eighter hold F8 or the strg key down until the menu comes up.
That was it :)

thank you, what if i want it to show that screen for say, 5 seconds during the boot process?

You can use TweakUI to set that up for you.

BootDelay = 5 (for 5 ms)

in msdos.sys (remember to remove the write protection first).

hello, what if that particular lin "bootmenu=" is not in msdos.sys?
do i add it?

hi, found this out by acident, go to msconfig-advanced-enable startup!
i was leary of dos with ME, and tweak does not have the boot option availble.
