I have the system I'm using now that was upgraded to XP from 98se... also I'm finishing up my first PC build, and was wondering if I can use the same XP upgrade on this new system? What about the activation part?

Will I be able to get all the "online" updates if its not avtivated? I understand that most the new hardware requires SP1 to run correctly.

Can I use the same XP upgrade on this new computer to get it up and running, then worry about a new copy of XP?

Can I use an XP upgrade or do I need to a "Full" version?

Does anyone know of a site where there is an "up to date" , "how to build a compter" tutorial?

you will not be able to use it on two different computers......

you can buy another xp upgrade as long as you can prove you have a previous version of windows or you can buy a full version.

Simple answer = No.

You cant use the one copy of XP on more then one computer its illegal.

You can use an upgrade to do a clean install provided that you have a previous version of Windows lying around that you can stick in to show it that you are a licensed user, so that it will allow you to use the upgrade. However it is cheaper to buy a full OEM Windows XP then a retail upgrade.
