computer reset

Hi,
My computer reset it's self to its factory defalt. What I mean by this, is that the computer locked up and i had to switch it off at the on/off button. When I switched it back on all the passwords and serial numbers for the programs where gone.

Anyone know whats going on?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean . . . What exactly happened when you turned it back on? What symptom is happening that leads you to suspect passwords and serial numbers are missing?

I won't be able to check back until later tomorrow (sleep and a busy schedule await), but there are many techs to check in on how you're doing & help out.

By all means, if the system starts at all, even if you have to resort to Safe Mode [press F8 while the computer is starting], run a full system virus scan. If you have a anti-spyware tool, scan with that also.
