Hello I'm having a little problem with rebooting Windows 98. I'm getting a RPCSS.EXE Illegal Operation fault. It completely locks up the desktop, and I'm getting an Explorer error too.
I switched the rpcss.exe file in Windows with the one on the Windows 98 CD, and it still won't correct it. Any ideas?

Disable autodial in your Internet Options. Set it up for "never dial a connection" or "Connect with LAN". Then just put a dialup networking shrtcut on your desktop or quick launch to connect. Do the same with Outlook Express too.
