I am super satisfied with the performance and ease of setting up of this wireless router/base station. It also has 4 ports for hardwired FastEthernet. I have two desktops Cat5 cabled and one desktop with a PCI wireless adapter, the MN-730. Most of the time data transmission is at full 54mbps speed with and occasional dip to low 40's. All PC's share cable internet connection and I cannot discern any difference from the wired PC's compared to the wireless performance wise. The Network Admistration interface is very slick and easy to use. I highly recommend to those who want to webcam using MSN Messenger. I had a Linksys router setup prior to this migration to wireless and I never could get both audio and video during webcam sessions. I guess Microsoft did a little product development to make this as easy to set up and it shows.

The reason it's so easy to set up is the bloated software you have to install.

Pretty cliche term...bloated. Why are you dumping on it? You dislike the product? I'd take bloat and function anyday over slim and impossible to set up. I spent over a year researching what ports to forward with that Linksys rig and (don't get me wrong, Linksys makes good stuff) but I must have tried suggested remedy after suggested setup configuration and never could get both audio and video. This reason alone makes me respectfully disagree with you on ths one GLC.
