ipf in devcon32.dll

please help.
I'm getting an ipf at bootup about 60% of the time.
The message basically is,
msgsrv32 caused an IPF in devcon32.dll
I close this and nothing happens, my system halts and I have to do a cold boot and pray it does not come up.
Now for some further details.
devcon32.dll is a creative file that I can only assume was installed with my SB Live Value card. I never had this problem before and today I start getting it after doing the big re-format of my hard drive and doing a clean install of all my stuff. The only software I got installed before getting this message was MS Office 2000, Netscape 4.76, cute ftp, ICQ, Norton System Works 2000.

Any ideas? I couldn't find anything at Creative's web site.

1. Get rid of Norton System Works.

2. Uninstall the Live! card and get the newest drivers from Creative, reinstall.

3. If you have a Via-based motherboard, install the 4 in 1 drivers before installing any other drivers or devices.
