am finishing up new build using Asus A7N8X E-DLX motherboard .. i presently run Win. XP Home edition on IDE WD Hard Drive 40 G. 3 partitions, C, operating system, E, applications, F, games, files, etc. I am installing a SATA WD Raptor on the new system and would like to copy my info from the IDE Drive to the STA drive, and was wondering if it would be a big problem..I'll probably use WD's disc or download their copy program if not on disc. Also, do I put both Hard Drives in at beginning Setup or do I use the IDE Drive to get the system going, then add the Sata Drive? Do i use G, H, I when partioning the Sata Drive or use C, E, F since they are on a different drive? iI plan on removing the IDE Drive later and put it in my Grandson's comp..then add another SATA drive to mine at a much later date. or would i be better off just loading the Sata Drive, install Win XP new and not worry about any files or data on my other Drive - copying the most important files and downloading all the drivers again? Will start on the system Friday and have read a lot but kinda unsure on some of these. Sorry so long a post
