I was wanting to have win98SE availible to me. I have a win98FE disk now. I was looking on price watch and they listed a win98se update for about $17. It said specifically that "this is not an upgrade". What is the difference between an update and upgrade? I did not find a listing on pricewatch for a win98se upgrade just an update. Would I be better off just getting a win98SE disk (on pricewatch for $52)?
Thank you
The $17 update will only update 98FE - where the $52 upgrade will upgrade any version of Windows.

Thanks glc! The $52 price listed it as full version with cd, code and license. If I went with this instead of the update do I have to uninstall 98fe and then install 98se or will it add or replace the files that differ from 98fe?
If it's a "upgrade" it will upgrade. If it's a "full" you have to rename win.com to get it to install.
Seriously consider reformatting and installing from scratch anyway. It will be a lot cleaner.
