translation; hi i am working on this thesis i have to write for shool and i keep making the same mistakes over and over again while typing. so i was wondering, could i adjust my keyboard to custom settings instead of these national templates?

i am runnning win2K

actually the only mistake i keep making is betwen a and q , for the rest it's a standard qwerty

I dunno, but why don't you look at your spelling and grammar checking/correction options in your word processor?

Yes i know i can use those to correct mistakes after i've made them, (this is what i am doing now) but i was just wondering if one could design one's own custom keyboard layout to suit one's needs.

For instance over here most keyboards are azerty, and as far as the letter key's go that's fine, but i don't really like how the punctuations brackets and numbers are placed on a azerty, for that reason i have a qwerty hooked up to my pc. The consequence of this is that i keep making mistakes sometimes.

it's not something i have to be able to do, i was just wondering if it was possible or not ( for all i knew your answer was "yhea all you need is this tool")
maybe it's a stupid question and maybe just maybe my mind just tends to wander into strange places where i should not go;)

Are you looking to "remap" the keys? If so, there are tons of sharewares that will do this.
