I should have never tried the Networking thang!
WIN98SE, when I boot, I am now getting a MS Networking window asking me for a password, I hope or thought I had gotten myself out of the "Networking".I just want things back to the way they were before I attempted to share a couple PC's at home.
Can anyone tell me how to stop this window from opening?
MS Help said to cancel after it came up, shut down, restart, and it should be gone. NOTTTTT!
I hope I'm in the right forum, as its not exactly a network problem, but a problem created trying to network.

Thanks!

Yes, it gets frustrating. What you need to do is go into control panel-network, and change the " Client for Microsoft Networking " back to Windows Logon. That will stop that thing from coming up. hth

Thanks ROYP, but been there, done that. I think the last time this happened to me was several years ago, and I ended up reinstalling 98SE. You'd think I'd ah learned the 1st time.

Once again, operator error. Sorry about that, I went back into" network properties", highlighted "clients for MS networks", hit properties and there it was----- Windows NT logon validation was checked! Unchecked, rebooted, came up normal.
Thanks for the help and vibes I pick up from this site.
