Hi, as i have known every since i got AOL Broadband, about a year ago how poor the browser etc is, BUT anyway i am really begining to get annoyed with it, so i was wondering if there is anyway that i can hide the AOL browser (apart from minimizing it)???

also can i make my AOL connection connect as soon as i turn my computer on? once connect it hide it!!!!

can anyway help or give me advise!!!

and before anyone says i know how poor AOL is and if i carnt find a way out of this i am getting rid of it!!!

solution: Remove AOL and call AOL tech support to cancel your account..get Comcast or whatever is your cable provider.

You can't have an always on connection with AOL broadband..because you need to contact through AOL..it's not like charter or comcast where it is automaticly on once you turn on your computer.

What do you mean by minimizing your browser? Just use IE and not the AOL browser crap.

That's a feature of AOL, you wont be able to get rid of it. Just connect, minimize AOL and open up IE or whatever browser you want to use.

I gotta ask. If you don't want to use their browser, why have AOL? Cut out the middle man (AOL in your case) and save some money if you don't want their browser.

here are the instruction on how to bypass aol program ,if u are using windows xp/2k scrollw down for instruction for that os.

When I used to have AOL (for 5 years!) I simply used to minimise the AOL window and open up IE (like an above poster states). The AOL browser is particulalry nasty....always has been, always will be!

BTW, AOL must be losing customers because they seem to be becoming more desperate with their aggresive advertising.:(

The AOL browser *is* IE, it's just in an ugly frame.
