Hie there, really glad that I found this site. Hope someone can give me a solution to my problem.

I am using Netscape 7.1 as my primary browser as I had some problems with my IE. When I tried to play a game on this site (www.e-games.com.my) which requires me to click on a play button before loading a patch updater where I can start a game.. Nothing comes up when I clicked on the play button. I don't really know what's happening here as I've tried unblocking cookies and setting the security settings to low on that site but nothing seems to come out still when I click on thta button. I don't know what other information that I need to provide so please let me know. Thanks load..

. . . Welcome to the PC Mechanic forums

I don't have Netscape, so I can't say where the settings are, but both IE and Netscape should have a setting in their "Options" or "Preferences" menus for Java applets: whether they are allowed to run at all, when they are allowed to run, etc. In IE, look in the "Tools" menu, Internet Options, Advanced --> look for settings for Java and Microsoft VM.

If your AntiVirus package or ISP software includes a script-blocker, you will have to add that site to its "excluded" list (like a "trusted" site. No need to lower your over-all security settings if you are having trouble with just one site.

I also don't do any online gaming, so this troubleshooting is just a general idea. I'm sure another forum member with some online gaming experience will see your post and add their advice (if necessary)

Check those settings, and let us know if that worked.
Best of luck
. . . Gary

Hi there, I've previously posted my problem and I've found something new about it so I've decided to start a new one as I couldn't edit the old one after 720 minutes ..

I've check the Javascript Console on my netscape menu and I realised that there's this error message there saying 'EGames Plugin is not defined' whenever I clicked on the 'play' button where it is suppose to launch out a auto-patch menu where I can then start the program. I checked the source of the page and there's this line in particular that's highlighted. 'EGamesPlugin.SetParam("O2Jam.exe", "O2Jam", GetCookie("UTid"), "");'

Anyone knows anything to do with this? Thanks

I've merged the 2 threads - please post a reply instead of starting a new thread. Thanks!

Have you tried discussing your issue in the forums at the game site?

One thing that I so hate about this site is that the FAQ is not even up yet.. The games are still on beta and I suppose better customer support will only surface when it's p2p..

One thing about the error message that you mention --> it seems to be looking for a cookie at a particular location. If you had cookies blocked for that site previously, it might not be able to find it. You mentioned that you unblocked cookies: why not delete your Internet Temp Files, delete your cookies, and then revisit the site as if you were a first-time visitor... That should provide you an opportunity to get a fresh cookie and try to download a fresh copy of whatever it is they need for things to run. I imagine they need the latest version of Shockwave Flash, if nothing else.

That's an interesting site. It comes and goes a lot as far as being able to reach it.
