Im in the market for a joystick. Mostly to play flying games, and for battlefield 1942. I dont want to spend too much money on it. Just give me some suggestions of good joysticks with the most bang for its buck.
Thanks!

If you got a PSX/2 you can score a USB adaptor that lets you hook up your Controller via the USB port.
Ive used them for several fligth sims it works out great.
Ill get some linsks when I find them.

I only gotten the PSX ones and they worked all right.
I just had to update the MB USB Drives. to remove any conflicts.
I have no opinion/expirience on the Xbox Stuff.

If your still looking for a Joystick, check out Logitech's line of Joysticks and gamepads. I've had good luck with their joysticks. Their products are also quite affordable.

Also check out the Saitek series, especially the Saitek Cyborg Evo and 3D USB Gold 'sticks. They've been getting great reviews.

A great joystick is the old Microsoft Side Winder Precision Pro. It's lasted me over 7 years now (ever since my first computer). No problems with it ever, and (if they still make them) they're probably real cheap.
I noticed that most of the joysticks are USB ones now.. and Many don't have rudder capabilities... This one has rudder, but is serial port. Most computers today (such as gateway computers) don't come with serial ports...
It's not a serial port - it's a game port. I have a gameport Sidewinder 3D Pro, excellent stick.

I have to say Sidewinder also. I have two Sidewinder Force Feedback wheels and a joystick. All have a very high quality feel and work great. The joystick is USB and does have rudder capabilities. Though mine cost $100 each there are cheaper models. Without force feedback for example.
