My problem is that I created a .pst file in Outlook 2003 and now I'm trying to open that .pst file in Outlook XP. I get an error message "Can't open". Do anyone have any suggestions, tips, or solution? All answers are appreciated. Thanks.

Zilantyas,
Check the security on the pst file to ensure the account you are using has permissions/access to the pst file.
Also make sure that this file is not a 'read only' file.

The .pst file is not backwards compatible to the best of my knowledge.

I have resolved this issue. In Outlook 2003 you will go to File>New>Outlook Data File and create a new .pst using Outlook 97-2000 Personal Folder File (.pst). Once created you would copy/paste the Outlook 2003 data file into the created Outlook 97-2000 data file. Transfer that newly created data file to the network (or computer with Outlook 97-2000) and open the file in Outlook 97-2000 by going to File>Open>Outlook Data File. Thanks for all your help!
