SAVING HTML in NETSCAPE 4.7

Is it possible to save entire WEB pages in HTML format in NETSCAPE 4.7? I know that in IE5 you select WEB ARCHIVE or similar in the Save As option. However in Netscape there is no such option.

I don't see that option in Netscape. In IE, if you save a page it grabs all the pictures and all for you. In Netscape, you can save the HTML page but the links & pictures will not display properly because you are only saving the page. In other words a on a web page the pictures are often saved in a folder called <b>images</b>. If you save the page without an images folder, the path to the picture is <b>/images</b> which is not there. So your pictures can't be found and will look something like this: <br><img src="images/no picture.jpg" width ="200" height="200" alt="no picture">

Just as I suspected. Can't see any useful reason for using Netscape. Still, it's the customer's choice.

Actually, you can. Open up Composer from the "communicator" menu, enter your URL, and bring up the page in there.

Once the page is in composer, save it, and it'll save the images along with the page, in the directory you save the page in.

Useful reason for using Netscape? It's the most standards compliant browser, more secure in dealing with shady ad scripts and such, and you're not forced into using it by them, as you are with Gate$ and crew.
