A guy at work is about to build a high end system and ask me about memory. I want to be sure before I give him any advise on this one.
He is planning on going with an intell 800fsb processor.
For Max proformance, I believe he will need to run Dual channel pc3200 DDR correct?

Yes, that is correct. Make sure to get ram with good latency though, but it latency doesnt have as big as an impact on Intel as it does on AMD.
not important

Believe the "Dual channel" terminology more applies to the motherboard capabilities than ram capability. However, in order for a motherboard's dual channel to work, you need 2 identical sticks of ram. (or 4 sticks works also on some boards) Rather than try find two that work together, it's easier to buy the "matched pair".
