Hello everybody,
How do you use the so called Active Desktops? (say the ones from the Microsoft web page).
Are they being downloaded and installed?
In case you don't want them any more, how can they be deleted permanently from your system?
Thanks,
Star-Com.
That's a feature included in Windows since Windows 98. You can't delete it, you just can activate and deactivate it.
It's the "Web" card in Properties of Display. In WinXP it's under Desktop > Customize Desktop.

I use the MS Windows XP Pro.
I go to 'Display-Desktop-Customize Desktop-Web' and then 'New-Visit Gallery'.
Q1. I visit a Microsoft web page and then click on a tab 'Add to Active Desktop'. Some file is being downloaded isn't it? Later if i want to erase this file from my system, how do i do it?
Q2. What exactly is the feature Active Desktop? Some kind of software, interface?
Thanks,
Star-Com.
