is there any way to get the temps of a ati 9800 pro? i wanna experiment with cooling and stuff but i dont wanna over pressure the fan...

You need a separate temperature probe and monitor like this Enermax unit (http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/62/426.htm?320).

dont worry about heat if u using stock power u should maby get around 50more mhz thats alot after that u oc it to much and the it became unstable. when he did that the chip was not hot because it has a fan on it. my friend did with his dell. i think he has 250, 300 OR 350v.

im not sure if u add power it will be more sable get back 2 u on that(time to ask king of ocing TIN)

i believe the Omega drivers for the ATi cards have temp monitoring software built in, but im not 100% positive. it wouldnt hurt to try though.

Tin i think there's a certain run of ATi's that have temp sensors built in. Don't remember the difference, but I think they're only in ATI mfr'd cards, and not all of them...I will see if I can find the sight again....

9800xt and 9600xt have em ive heard

The xt's have them because they unlock a feature in the drivers called overdrive. Its ati's over clocking tool. it has a temp sensor on it.
