Ok, this is going to be my first build and I am torn between 2 excellent cases, IMO.
Here they are.
Case #1 (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=103_119&products_id=577&osCsid=cfc76470a9926488af0479c12e46687d)
Case #2 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-144-025&depa=0)
I would appreciate any opinions. Thanks in advance.

id say choice 1, aluminum is alot lighter than steel. great if youre into LANing with your rig.

Aluminium also dissipates more heat than steel.

From the specs and the pictures, they're basically the same case...one is made of steel, the other made of aluminum.
One comes with a low quality power supply and the other comes with no power supply. Either case you choose, you still have to buy a separate good quality power supply.
It looks like they also hold the same number of drives.
Since the two cases are so similar as far as set up and function goes, I think it comes down to which case looks best to you.

I have a case that is almost just like #1. I think yours may be the new model. Anyway I love it so far. I cant think of a thing I do not like about it.

i like case two, but its all about what looks better to you. they both seem about the same quality wise, so whatever looks better to you i say get that one.

I'm with Willboy on this one... Case #1 wins hands down for my money, but you'll definitely want to get a good PSU, or else you'll be in here a lot asking why your computer keeps screwing up

Looks like the advice is about 50/50. Bottom line is what YOU like, want, and need. Personally, I think case #2 looks better (and looks A LOT better than its "spray painted" black option of the same model I have seen), but it is kind of a small case.
I guess your biggest decision is what do you plan to do initially with drives, cooling, etc.? What might you do in the future to add to it? Think towards the future unless you are able and willing to buy a new case every couple of years as technology and your imagination increase.
