I am looking at getting a new case for my machine, and I saw this one...

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-182-548&depa=1

Is this a good case? Anyone have any other good suggestions for cases?

This is a subjective question since it is a matter of personal taste. I personally prefer dark Antecs. Beige cases are a bit bland but that's just me.

do you need one that big for a server? if not, save some money, and get a regular case that is a little bit more appealing. like james said, it is all a matter of opinion

The case itself is fine and it doesn't come with those bad Codegen power supplies.

Why do you need something so big?

That is a pretty fat (as in WIDE) case! But as it has been said, it all depends on what you like. For that much money consider going with a "custom" type case and add a little color if you like those ammenities.

By the way, ric449 that is a great article you wrote. As for me, I did A LOT od searching and shopping before buying my case. I want it to look as sharp on the outside as what I put inside. But that is just me :D . Peace!

I'm not surprised you want a great case, that is one monster of a machine you got there!

What I need is a case with a huge amount of drive bays. Color, style, etc... I couldn't care less... I just need something really huge.

when i was looking for a case i found that the best thing i could do was do a Google search for reviews on it. Once you read 10 or 15 major reviews you can get a good idea of what the pros and cons of a case really are, in terms of functionality.

I tend to stay away from codegen cases, the first one i had, had razor sharp metal, the little bar that seperates eatch pci card was (which i didnt know at the time) razor sharp and they used a piece of metel to cover the pci slot (the metal you have to bend and flex to take off) so while i was bending it i got one half off and the other wouldnent come off so i put my finger on it and gave it a push so it would fall out the other side, well it fell out, and since i used so mutch force my finger went in between the 2 pieces of metal that seperate the slots, pretty mutch sliced both sides of my finger(quite deeply)...never again with them cases. It was like taking 2 knives putting a piece of metal on them and asking you to pry it out.
