Is there a way to drag and drop or cut and paste a URL from my favorites in IE into the message portion of the thread reply?
And without typing out the whole thing. I know this is a real newbie question but just one of those things haven't figured out.

flanzig1,

Go to the favorite in IE and right-click it. Select Properties. You will see the URL listed in a field when the Properties page opens. Simply highlight the URL, right-click and select Copy. Then you can paste it into a thread, message, etc.

well, if you want to avoid typing the whole url, right click on the url you want to use, then click properties, then copy the text from the text box where the url is.

I tried to do it in Mozilla and it worked.

IE, OTOH, opens the link in the window.

You can right-click the shortcut in the favs menu, select properties, copy and paste the link to the reply box.

EDIT:
grr, you guys are fast :(

I just open the favorite link in another brouser window and highlite the location bar. Then I right click, copy. Then go to where I want, left click to place a "tag?" and then right click and paste it there. It works like a charm. Although I do have to open another brouser window to do it that way. If that helps. Just a suggestion.

As long as he gets the info he needs that's the main thing! That's happened to me SO many times to ComputerNut! :)

I use CopyURL (http://www.moonsoftware.com/freeware.asp), which adds "Copy URL," "Copy Link" and "Copy Name" to the menu when you right click on an entry on the Favorites list.
