Hi all,

I hope there are some Electrical/Computer Engineers and technicians/students in the crowd to help me out.

I'm looking for some good textbooks that deal both with Analog and Digital Electronics (separate books not together in one).

I looked on Amazon.com, but at least for the digital part there were way too many choices for me to get a clear overview of what I would need.

I've taken an introductory Analog electronics course, and I'm looking for another beginner/intermediate level book that covers most of the areas and goes a little bit more in depth.

For digital I would probably need a good introductory book that covers most areas and gives good explanations and examples.

If there are students out there studying these things, what books does your school use?

Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions.

I'm currently studying Electrical Engineering at the Australian Defence Force Academy, and we use a number of books for these subjects. The good introductory ones I'd recommend are:
- "Digital Systems: Principles and Applications" by Tocci and Widmer
- "Modern Digital and Analog Communication Systems" by Lathi

However, what was it you were wanting to study?? Was it control theory of analog circuits, circuits themselves, communications, what??

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'm looking for a book that couples analog electronics together with electronic engineering applications. Is there such a thing? I will check out that Digital book you recommended as well. Thanks again.
