Will Dvd burners right now be able to burn onto dual layer media or will there be dual layer dvd burners coming out???

Current DVD burners won't be able to burn to dual layer media. You need a dual layer capable DVD burner for this, and the first one is expected to hit the shelf during this month.

I've read something about $150 or $170 for the first one.

But I would wait some time so that the usual bugs (every new kind of technology has bugs when first introduced) get sorted out. You won't find alot of dual layered DVD+R's either at the vey beginning (it's also only DVD+R, not DVD+RW, that comes dual layered. . just to let you know)

No, that's not out - that's a preorder. At least we have a price to go by - 200 bucks MSRP.

BenQ DW822A DVD Rewriter Drive is available. Although its not currently duel layer capable it is firmware upgradable.
