My sister wants to build her own web page. What woould be a good chioce for her to use to build her first web page? She can follow directions and knows word processors and data bases, or at least how to use them.
Any suggestions?

I'd start with the Mozilla Composer. Unless she wants a page with flash and shockwave.

Easy and simple. That's the ticket.

How about Dreamweaver?

Dreamweaver is outstanding, but hardly easy and simple. Mozilla Composer does simple pages much like a word processor, no steep learning curve, and it's free.

Personally, I would say Adobe Go Live! was pretty easy to use, though that may be because I frequently work with Photoshop :P. I worked with MS Frontpage when I was developing webpages, and it isn't very recommendable. From there, I just started writing my own source - learning HTML and JavaScript.

Hope that helps,

Pages created with Frontpage do not display well in browsers other than IE.
