DVD burner is a LiteOn 8X dual Drive.
Software package is "Power DVD" that comes with the LiteOn burner.

The board is the Asus A7N8X-VM/400 running onboard video.

OS is W2K.

When I try to play a DVD Movie, I get an error message to the effect,

"Due to copyright protections, the movie cannot be played while TV out is enable on your video card".

OK, fine, but I'm running the Nvidia onboard video (no tv out plug) and I can't find such a setting to disable tv out.

I'm running this same software on my computer with the same burner and it works fine.

What's up???

Are you using original DVD's or burned DVD's????? Is it a new DVD or an older DVD? Have you tried one DVD or numerous DVD's?? Just need to know what you are putting into the computer.

There should be settings for TV out in the following location:
Right click on your desktop and go to "Properties". Click on the "settings" tab. At the bottom of this window, click the "advanced" button. In this window will be whatever custom settings are available with the drivers specific to your video system. Your vid system may not have vid out, but there is probably a variant of it that does, and uses the same drivers as yours, hence, even though you do not have a phisical TV out plug, the chipset probably supports it, and you still need to disable it.
