allright, if you feel like helping a newblar like myself out..you've come to the right place.
Somehow (weather it be a game or whatnot that I downloaded), I have gotten the netbus trojan on my system.
Now, there's notthing really important on here, but just the fact that people can access my computer and do what they will with it is sorta gay..so:
I've run Norton AntiVirus 2002 with all the updates on it. The Trojan (there's 2 files) come up, and say that they are unable to be quarentined, and they will have to be deleted. I press OK, and it attemps to delete them. I get a box that tells me that these files can't be accessed. Then when Norton goes off, it tells me that my computer is still infected.
Every once in a while, the Norton autoprotect screen comes up telling me that there's a virus, and points out the file. When I go to delete, it tells me the same thing. And I can't delete them.
All that the Symantec site told me was that I have to download the live updates, run norton, and delete the files (yeah no kidding..)
So, what do I do? How do I get rid of Netbus...??
Thanks in advance.
btw- I'm running norton right now, full system scan.
if you want, you can AIM me: lookibunKeredyou
thanks again.
