It seems to be a new form of spam that's getting by Verizon's filters.
There is no from and no subject but, if you wait a few minutes, one of those off-shore pharmacy offers appears.
At the moment it's just a nuisance but wouldn't it be a perfect way to send someone a virus ?

Appears where? In the "Preview Pane"? If so, go to View/Layout and get rid of the "Preview Pane".
