I was wondering if using a joystick to play UT2004 is better than using the keyboard perhaps? Anybody try this before on any action/shooting game?

I used to play Doom I with a joystick but that's because it can't use a mouse. Nothing beats a keyboard and mouse.

I never liked track balls. I am just using the MS Optical wheel mouse that came with my keyboard. It is a good mouse but I hope to get an MX700 soon.

Yeah I forgot to mention as well that most FPS games today don't even support a joystick anyway.

Does anybody use a joystick to fly helicopters in battlefield desert combat? If you use one, do you have to use it for moving around and everything else as well, or can you switch between it and a mouse and keyboard when on foot and when in a vehicle?

theres one... ughh... cant remmeber the name... its really old, but supposably the best because you can turn the recoil off since it doesn't work with bf1942 or dc...
