The situation is that the computer is partitioned and the program is on the D: partition and an upgrade was installed on the C: partition. The program is a fitness site program called "igofigure". The computer is freezing and having issues and the makers of the program say its due to the upgrade being on a separate drive from the main program but could not offer a fix to the situation. Any ideas?

You could try a complete installation and a reintallation of the program. making sure that everything concerning that program stays on one partition or the other. I would put everything on C: just to be safe.

the best thing I can think of it to remove it totally and reinstall it and the upgrade on the partition you want it on.

You have the program split between partitions and the way they point to each other leads to this type of problem. And after deleting and reinstalling to D: and upgrading to D: you may still have some problems. Registry entries sometimes don't get updated correctly. So you may need to do some manual editing.
Another option might be to copy the c: stuff to the corresponding D: location. I would assume that the update was program files and that the old files were supposed to be overwritten if they existed. But you are equally at risk doing it this way.
In the case of the reinstall to d: , I would probably copy the data somewhere else and clean the area for a complete reinstall into empty areas, then copy the data back into the right place. You never know what the original install will do when it finds existing directories and not having it backed up can get you in trouble.
