I downloaded an iso image and its too big for the CD's I have. Is it possible to install the application from my harddrive in its iso format?

yes you can use proggies like Alcohol120% or Virtual Cd. great to backup your existing CD's if ya have the space.

You can open it in nero and use a virtual drive to burn into a nrg file which nero can then use a virtual drive to run.

Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/portal.php) - Great for mounting images.
Also, images will look too big for a CD when in reality they are not. The bulk is simply information your CD burning application will need, but that information will not be burned to the CD. It's perfectly normal.
Either way is good.
