Lol, still haven't found time to install the demo I downloaded the other day. When I get around to it I'm gonna check it out.

Just out of curiosity, who here has played/finished Far Cry??
I'm up to the Research Facility at the moment, and I don't mind telling you the trijons or whatever are pretty f***ed up, I'm kinda regretting starting on the second hardest level, they're so fast

Ive played the demo then went to go get it... UT:2004 caught my eye and I ended up grabbing that instead. Still, from the demo, badass (looking) game.

I have beat the game. Very entertaining. Those nasty trigens are tough, cant even let 'em near you. I love watching the mercs and mutants battle it out, like a movie within a game heh.

im stuck on a level.... i try to go through a door and it says one of the guards have it but ive checked out all the guards.... not sure of level name but its one with loads of containers in a warehouse....

I just finished the demo. Wow, it was horrible. I hope the entire game is not like that. It looks like it has potential though. Maybe the demo was just bad. I remember you guys saying the demo didnt give the game justice.

they did release an "update" for the demo as it was a bit bad to play... they released the map again to make it better...

this game is awesome......whoa.
the A.I. is pretty smart too.....i had the sniper rifle and the guy i was gonna shoot....saw the sun shining off the scope and started shooting before i could get a shot off....i eventually got him tho......

Yup, the AI is really amazing
For instance, you even get viewed they investigate, and if you kill one they carry out actual military drills (called a drive fire and movement drill)
It's extremely impressive

The AI might be smart but they are no match for M16. From what I hear the demo is not even close to what is offered in the full retail game.

Haven't heard of that game Dragon... whens the release?? I hope you're not sabotaging my degree some more, it's already taking hits from Far Cry :D

I should have said "no match for my M-16". Refering to the gun. And the farcry demo I heard isn't as good as the real game. Sorry for the confusion.

the demo was good, but it put a hamper on my 9600pro...
oddly enough it played pretty well on my geforce3 with the setting turned way down..

when a game looks that good, it's hard to give it up for better framerates.. but in my case, i had to.
