I get a lot of freeze ups because of lack of memory. Do I need a memory manager? Or are they just fluff?
Is there a memory manager out there that is considered the best? Computer Shopper's top 50 free downloads had RAMbooster 1.6 and FreeRAM XP Pro 1.4.
Also MyIE 2 was highly lauded browser in recent issue of PC World? Any thoughts?

I'm maxed as far as memory. I have 3rd physical slot for 128 more but it doesn't recognize the 3rd stick.
Is there anything I can adjust to make it see the third slot?
MyIE 2 was highly regarded browser in recent issue of PC World.
Any thoughts on this browser?

If you want a new browser try firefox.
Try increasing your pagefile size - 768mb minimum and maximum would be a good place to start. XP should run okay but not great with 256mb physical ram. A memory manager really won't do much for you till after the fact, I do have FreeRAM XP Pro and I use it occasionally to clean up after apps that don't release ram well.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I guess I'll pretty much hang tough til I get the new Intel Terminator in 2010.
