My graphics card came with an overclocking tool, however when I try installing it, it shows me a registration entry, and then ask me if I want to place the registry information into the registry. I'm confused so can someone straighten me out?

Thanks.

Oh and I also tried installing coolbits but it did the same thing so I'm still lost.

enabeling the overclock utility requires changing the registry. If your video card came with a program to enable the overclock utility then use it,coolbits is the same thing except you have to manually add the settings to the registry.

Download and install "nVHardpage" from www.guru3d.com. Now run the executable and simply activate all the options on the page.

Coolbits is simply an inbuilt overclocking utility and some other stuff that nVidia have not activated by default in their drivers.

Activating it involves editing the registry to add the necessary keys, and nvhardpage does this for you automatically.

Once you have activated coolbits, you will see a new entry for "Clock Frequencies" in the settings page for your video card under Desktop Properties>Settings>Advanced.

ohh, i found it! It's pretty cool it's made buy nvidia and has self overclocking! It's core went from 330 to 368; memory from 266 to 361! Great stuff I'll run 3d mark03 and post soon after.
