Would an ATI Radeon AIW series card be better to use for my new build (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=97223) if the majority of time it's going to be used for Photoshop, DVD/CD authoring, and various multimedia tasks or will the ATI Radeon 9600XP work just fine??

I rekon eather one would do ok but for watching tv and making movies with my digital camcorder, dvd's and photo shop editing pictures with my digital camera, the AIW will do everything I need just great for me
I even liked it so much I have two of them now and have been putting them in the builds I do for other people, every one is very happy with it.
I would buy another one some day.

The AIW has a TV tuner on it. If you want to watch TV on your computer or digitalize analog videos (and don't have a digital camcorder with analog in for that), then you need it. Otherwise, you don't, a pure graphics card will be all you need.

AIW is an excellent capture card. I hardly watch TV on it. But i do use the capture abilities.

I would recommend going with a PCI TV Capture card rather than an AIW. It will save you $$ down the road when you have to upgrade your graphics cards(You won't have to keep buying AIW). You can also get a much better capture card if you buy it seperate(like one with hardware encoding).
