Hey guys, I'm having the most difficult time ever trying to decide which video card to buy. I'll be using my pc for video editing, computer animation, and recording live T.V., and was thinking either an All-In-Wonder or a Personal Cinema setup would work best. But now the ATI Radeon 9800Pro (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-286&depa=0) is on sale at newegg and it's catching my eye. What should I do?

radeon 9800 pro won't record live tv. You would need a seperate tv tuner/capture card for that. The 9800 pro is a fine GPU though, will be good for at least a couple more years worth of good gaming.

Thanks Redfallon for the info. I have just purchased my very first piece of hardware for my very first home built machine. ::gets excited. very excited.::

Personally, if you could, an ATI AIW Radeon 9600 Pro is around 200 USD - a good margin in performance difference, but still has the AIW functions, such as the recording TVs and stuff.

I'd say that a 9800 Pro along with a good TV tuner would be the best combination when considering cost. The 9800 Pro AIW is a little expensive and the AIW 9600 doesn't have as good 3D performance.

Let's determine how much gaming is going to be done. If this is a machine that will not be used for heavy duty games, any of the AIW's would be just fine, all the extra bucks gets you is better 3D gaming performance.

An ATI AIW Radeon 9000 Pro should be fine if you don't game much - if you do, go with the ATI AIW Radeon 9600.

Hope that helps,
