after struggeling to build my first pc i was a little hesitant in formating my hard drive i made the main partition only 5gb for my system and programs and now its full i have a second logical drive (i think its called) for my files thats has room on it, and i was wondering if there was any way without erasing all my data to send room from 2nd partition to my main one, or will i have to reformat everything and then reinstall? can someone please help

welcome to pcmech:
yes I use partition magic to change my partitions around, and there is also some free download software that can do that for you too, just can't think of the name of it right now.

It would probly be a good idea to backup stuff before you do that though.
