even tho Spring is approaching---the polar jetstream is taking a loop over the central and eastern northerly portions of the USA --which--spells very stormy weather for this portion for the next week or so-----
also--with the very warm to hot situation over the southeast vs the artic cold over eastern Canada+the jet stream config=big storm to form over Atlatic seaboard and move slowly toward the northeast----Sunday thru Tues of upcoming week!= major rain to snow storm for most of eastern seaboard during same period.
The more the jet forms a closed loop- and the more said loop is westward-the more intense/longlasting the eastern storm situation will be early week of 3/5.
Here in Boston- its been snow flurrying for 24 hours as the cold artic air is swept southward over the (relatively) warm Atlantic---this shld continue sporadically thru Sunday when the mainstorm will materialize over the central eastern seaboad and them assume the major atmospheric circulation for the next 4-7 days.
WEve been luck so far=-but this could be a BIG one!
will post more as Sunday passes!
