I don't know what connection I did, but I cannot seem to get this network bridge icon off the startup bar. The network connection says MAC mini bridge port. Don't know what's that. Tried to delete but it says has an unexpected error. I tried msconfig to disable the startup, but the path is not there. What do I do?

Tried that. It did not work. Last time the bridge was there. I deleted some run.dll file so that some run.dll box would not pop up.Someone said its a residue of a spyware.
the link did not work. There is nothing to select in the adapters.
The icon is gone, the bridge is disable now when I disable the windows firewall.

If you're behind a router, you really don't need the XP firewall anyway. What did you mean "Last time the bridge was there"? Did you Remove it previously or just disable it? If it is diisabled it will still appear in Network Connections but it will have a red X on it.

This is from the website since you are having trouble accessing it.
. Start / Control Panel / Network Connections.
2. Right-click Network Bridge and press Properties.
3. Select the General tab.
4. On the Select the adapters you want to use to connect to computers on your local network list, clear the check boxes for the network adapters and press OK.
5. Start / Run / Devmgmt.msc / OK.
6. Expand the Network Adapters.
7. Right-clcik MAC Bridge Miniport if it exists and press Uninstall.
8. Press OK.

There is no adapters that I can select (using the guide)
Nearly 2 months ago, I got this spyware, when I removed it using spybot & adware, it left some residue behind. Its a command prompt to run the moment I start xp. Its a run.dll file. Because the virus has been deleted, there is this pop-up box the moment I start XP, saying something like cannot run run.dll. So to make sure the pop up never came back, I went to regedit, delete the command line which was suppose to make the box pop up.
Everything is ok now, there is no bridge icon, but I cannot delete it either from the network connections because nothing that I can select to follow the guide.
