is there software or some thing that will check the quality of a mp3 file? when i acuire some and play them sometime through the song it makes high pitch noises and is really anoying when you have the music up load..

That happens when you download music files and don't have a steady connection, some of the data gets lost and creates the noise.

Yeah, ok, that's as good a reason as any. :D
Open the file in winamp. It should tell you the bitrate. Higher is better, and the minimum that most people encode in, is 128.
If the file is that, or higher, and it's squealing, you've probably downloaded a crap file that some joker thinks is funny wasting bandwidth on.
