ok, i got a x-dreamer case off xoxide.. and i was just looking at it, and it can technically hold 8 fans on it.. (psu, cpu, 2x 80mm on back, 2x 80mm on front, 1x 80mm on side window (already installed), 1x 80mm on top (already installed).. now i know you don't need 8 fans, and im only going to have the cpu, psu, and stock ones (4).. then i was thinking.. fans take air in.. and i got a thermaltake polo12, so if i don't use my retail hsf it viods warranty..so i got a 80mm and 120mm fans left over.. (here is the good part)

would it be a smartish idea to use my last 2 fans (or any fan on any case) put on backwards so not only do the other fans intake air for cooling, but have some fans shoot the hot air back out?

The fan on the top should be doing just that, pushing air out. The side one I assume draws air in. I had a similar setup(1 top, 1 side, PSU, and 1 HSF) and it works just great. No need for any more fans in my opinion, although fans in the top and side seem to be louder then those in front and back because there is little in between them and you, unlike in the front you have a face plate sort of thing, and the back is away from you.

I would stick with just 1 in top and the 1 in side as it should be more then enough for you.

PS-In cases without the side and top fans, most have an intake fan on the bottom front of their case and a fan blowing out in the top back of the case(heat rises).

Why do you say that?

Exhaust fans are much more important than intake fans. Otherwise you have no way of getting the hot air out of the PC.

Yes I currently have 2 fans as exhaust on the back and 2 fans as intake (one in front and one on the side). This creates a good airflow through your system and will keep it kool.

You should definatley have the fan on top blowing the warm air out of the case.

Depens where the fan(s) will be placed, if it were me. I would take that 120mm, cut a hole in the side of my case (down twards the AGP/PCI slots) and put the fan there. I did that with my xaser and that greatly lowerd all my temps. If you do it you will want the fan to be intake.
