Last night I just saw the dayafter tomorrow.

Overall I thought it was a good movie. Most everything that happened seem'd possible unlike other modern movies.

Just got home from cinema, I just watched The Day after Tomorrow.

I liked it too. . . really good movie. Only thing I didn't really believe was that everything froze in the eye of the storm . . . as far as I know without enough humidity it can't be like that.

I believe all the water was CG too. . . it looked really realistic compared to other CG stuff I've seen.

Overall I thought it was OK... a few "gimme a break" moments like living in that lil tent when it's that cold out... but whatever.. .still a pretty good show.

Very nice - just saw it twenty minutes ago. The graphics is amazing and profoundly deep - I was amazed, even after seeing the all-time best graphics movie ever - Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

Yeah, there were times when it was like "how in the world would overhead compartments just open up"...but that's part of the movie. Impressive - but not movie of the year.

Hope that helps,

I would have to agree with the living in a tent and amazingly cold temperatures being a little bit too unrealistic, especially the amout of freezing caused at the eye of the storm. But at least the movie attempted to explain things.

RJ- if the water was CG it certainly tricked me. It was deffinately very nice. :)

Excellent movie. I liked the realistic effects right in the theater. When I went the theater was ice cold and then seeing all the snow on the screen seemed to make it even colder. Unfortunatley felt like I was actually in the movie.

Now that you mention it, the theater I went to was quite cold, too. They must have turned the AC all the way up. Maybe they did it because of the movie, who knows. . . so that couples can keep each other warm using the body heat :D . . well that scene actually made me laugh. . .

From what I've read so far the water was indeed CG. That was really impressive.

I went on Day 1. WIsh I had waited. Also, it was very clear that the one I saw had some last minute editting.

It jumped around abit in the story. It was not seemless by far.

Plus, there was a quote from the orignal trailer that was completely removed.

About when the Ravens Leave the tower of England.

But hey, it was just a movie.

There is a sound theory that at least one Ice Age in the past was proceed by a 10 year period of Natural Global Warning.

I could Nit pick on the movie more but I don't want to give anything away.

I am not saying don't watch it. It was entertaining, but take some scenes with a gain of Salt. I didn't believe it deserved as much Hype as it received with about a 9 month build up.

I was fond of the effects, but i found the movie boring in an aspect. I thought some of the given suspsense was really lame too (need i mention the wolves). On the plus side, like I said the effects were great and the humor was funny.

Personally, I think the movie had political intentions/motives, and I think their decent ones.

My problem was that they took a known theory on how Global Warming could lead to an ICE AGE, but the way the movie was done, I believe it will cause people to have a negitive view on that possibility.

I liked the movie for its action scenes, but the stories tying this movie together are probably the definition of cliche... don't want to give it away, but go see it for the action (obviously) just don't expect any meaningful personal stories out of this one.

Oh, and there were a few scenes that were supposed to be very dramatic and sad, but no one in the theater seemed to care...so much for character development.

There were a few scenes where I found myself laughing like crazy. Some of the stuff in the movie was so ridiculous. It was entertaining. Its the kind of movie that would be awful to rent. You have to see it in the theater.
