Yet another Viri - AIM

Hey,

There is yet again, another version of a virus spreading. And again, it is from clicking on AOL Instant Messanger Buddy profiles. I just recently got one that saids "View My Buddy Profile" - one that leads you to the downloading site for...yes, the spread of that exact bug. I googled and got nothing as far as removal instructions. Anyone know how to remove it?

I don't exactly know what it's called but it links to "http://www.shadowedstories.org/bestfriend.scr" where if you click and download it, you are spreading the viri...kinda scary. It hasn't done any immediate damage yet...except my profile. I looked online and it seems that there are different variations, but they all have the common file "bestfriend.scr".

I'm not quite sure - I got a worm that leads to the file "bestfriend.scr", but then again, it was from an AOL Instant Messanger Profile, and so far, I discovered taht the only thing it affected was <i>my</i> AIM Profile...but could be it. I'll go ahead and run the removal instruction.

Anyone know how to do it without my having to mess with the registry? I really don't want to mess around with the registry because I'm not very experienced and if I screw up, I know what awaits me. If anyone finds a kit, that'll be nice :D .
