Now that looks like quite a powerful fan. I wonder what happens if you don't install that fan tight enough :D

Yea that thing is a monster. It looks like it blocks the first ram slot on that board. It would probly also pretty much block the psu fan. It looks so heavy, I would be worried about mounting that, it would probly rip out the socket.

I'll move to water cooling before I start using something like that.:)

Same here, heck the Theramalright SP-94 and 92mm fan I have on my pressie is big enough already.

I find it hard to believe that thing is not a joke.

Hmm... turns out it's legit (http://www.asus.com/products/pccomponents/cooler/gaming/starice/overview.htm), but not a prescott cooler as the enquirer suggests... works for AMD as well.
Wow, that is crazy. And I though that was just a self-made thing made by a crazy overclocker or something like that. . .
That thing definitely needs a big case . . . and surely it must be mounted to the case as well in order to prevent it ripping off the socket

Keep in mind, most of it's bulk is just a big plastic shroud.. wouldn't weigh that much.
Still like my cooler master jet 7 better. And yes, it's a heavy item (the cooler master). Actually the cooler master has more of a heatsink than that one does.
