Looking for a forum package

I'm looking for a forum that will grant viewing access to only members, and where member registration is not activated, so only the admin can add users.

Is phpBB capable of of doing this?

i just did a test install of phpbb and i cant see any features in the admin panel. then i did a test installation of invision power board, and it has a feature to disable registrations and to force guests to login before seeing the boards, this is a eg of what they would see and what they would see if they clicked register. http://xphiles.net/test2/index.php - if ya want a play round with any of them give us a bell as there only for testing.

I think phpBB2 can do this. In Group Permissions Control (in the Group Admin section) it looks like I could set the permissions for the default user group such that they can't see any of the forums. I don't want to try it because I actually use the site, though.
