Laptop
is it possible to build a laptop like is there anywhere where you can buy a case with the screen and mouse and keyboard already put in it then you buy the rest? If so is it cheaper to do this?

It is nearly impossible to find a place that sells laptop kits, and because it is not that common, it will be fairly expensive. With a kit, most of the kit is already assembled, in any case. All you would have to do is install the drives, CPU and RAM. It is far less expensive and much more cost effective to actually go out and purchase a prebuilt laptop. A laptop is limited in that all the parts have to fit in a special way in a specific case; with desktop PCs, this is not the case. There is ample room within a computer tower to add just about any kind of hardware you may need. Laptops are carefully engineered machines because of the small space in which they are confined. It’s difficult to make something small enough and be generic enough to be used with a wide array of parts.
Should you be dead set against purchasing a prebuilt laptop, here is an article that may help direct you to where you can get parts for building a laptop: http://legitreviews.com/article.php?aid=56

thanks! I was just wondering and now I also know why laptops are so expensive. they should take a tower computer put a neck strap on it and bolt a car battery and a monitor to it that would work but after a while your neck wouldn't
