Unhappy Multiple PC problems

Ok
I build a new PC about 11 months ago and am now having some problems.
First, the mobo never fit into the case right, the case was to big. I have a CHAINTECH SK8T800 Socket 754 VIA K8T800 ATX AMD Motherboard and an Aspire X Dreamer 2 case. I need to know whether the mobo is to small or if the case is to big because i am looking at new cases now and dont want the same problem

Also, My Samsung DVD CD combo drive just stopped reading disks a few days ago and Samsung Tech support sucks.

Lastly, ocaisonally my Montitor(LG flatron 19") will just stop and go black and say Power Saving Mode. My PC is still on but my monitor just stops i guess.

If anyone could help me with any of the above problems that would be awesome.

The X Dreamer is a mid-tower ATX case and the Chaintech SK8T800 is a ATX motherboard...the motherboard should fit into the case no problem. I don't see how a case that's too big can be a problem...exactly what kind of fit problems are you having? If the motherboard just looks too small in the case, that's not a problem. If you can't get the ports and cards aligned with the openings in the case, then that's a problem.

Samsung drives are not very reliable. I'd just dump it and replace it with a Lite-On, ASUS, LG, Sony or Plextor.

Check your Power Options in Control Panel to see if the monitor is set to turn off after a set amount of time. If it is, just set the option to "Never".

Cricket you are awesome
Ok the fit problem.....the mobo does not fit it doesnt reach all the screw holes due to its small size and the only card that really fits is my AGP ATI 9550 the others are too far away and i cant get the screws into the tops of them...so over all the system is very unstable

Then your standoffs are screwed into the wrong holes in the motherboard tray.

Do all of the holes in the motherboard itself have a screw in them? If they don't, you don't have it aligned with the right holes. If you just have extra holes in the motherboard try, that's how it's suposed to be. Most all ATX cases fit both atx motherboards, and micro-atx motherboards. THere are a few extra holes for this to work.

No it really doesnt fit. It has a wobbly hold to the tray and none of my cards fit right and it was a female dog to screw in without breaking

You sure you using the correct standoff holes in the motherboard tray? Or was the case smashed?

They are the holes on the motherboard mounting tray where you would screw in the case stand offs.

Funny thing - I was just reading through some Newegg reviews on an Aspire case and other people are having mounting issues too.
