Cheap but Reliable PSU
I have a thread already on my build and I am just tweeking all of my components. My only concern is the PSU I am getting with my case.
Case: A-Top XBlade AT859A-BK Black/Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W Power Supply People have told me not to use the PSU with this case and purchase a different one. Now why should I not use this PSU and does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap PSU that will be okay for me? Should I buy this case and a different PSU, or would it be better to find a better case with a trusted brand of PSU? I will only be running 1 DVD-RW, 1 80GB Harddrive, and I will be purchasing a 9600 Radeon Video Card. Any help would be appreciated... |

Case brands that come with good quality power supplies...Antec, AOpen, CoolerMaster, Enlight, Enermax (with the Enermax power supplies, not the PowerUp power supplies), Inwin and Thermaltake.

I wouldn't take the PSU because of the brand. Just because it has 450W doesn't mean it is good. I had a 400W PSU for a semi-wimpy system and it was terrible. If you like the case, you can buy the case, ditch the PSU and buy a good brand PSU like Antec, Sparkle, or Enermax. Here is some more info on PSU's.
