updating bios or any other solution for this problem?
i have been having a werid problem everytime i start up the pc i am buiding after it boots i get these messages "that no disks are connected to the FastTrack controller. The Bios is not installed." and then i get a black screen and it just hanges there. I heard i have the update the bios since i am using a a 3200 venice core. Can anybody tell me how to update the bios or what to do to get passed this problem?

All that means is that you don't have any drives connected to the Promise FastTrack controller. The message is telling you that the Promise bios is not installed - this is separate from the main system bios. Disable the FastTrack controller in the main system bios setup. That motherboard has 2 separate SATA controllers and it appears that you have your drive connected to the Via controller.
Here is the CPU support chart with minimum bios revision required for 3200+ on that board: Athlon 64 3200+ (CG version) (Socket939) 1009 Athlon 64 3200+ (rev.D) (Socket939) 1007 Earlier BIOS may boot up with single channel memory only Athlon 64 3200+ (rev.E) (Socket939) 1011 Being that you are getting as far as you are, I don't think it's the bios that's holding you back. i flashed the bios and everything worked fine
