SuccFirst Build - First Post Build Question, Case Fan
First build, so far so good, got xp sp1 loaded, tomorrow sp2 and other drivers. Thanks to everyone who has helped me choose my components and answered my previous questions. Anyway first post build question, I have a Lian Li case. There is a fan on the top of the case. Coming from the fan are two white four contact plugs, male and female. They look like the plugs that you plug into the back of a drive to bring power to it. I figure these plugs must be attached to the wires that bring juice to the fan. My other case fans have smaller plugs that plug directly into the mother board. Do I plug the male or female into a spare four contact plug that is coming from the power supply to give juice to the fan? Thanks

You plug the male power supply connector into the female connector on the fan. You can leave the other end unconnected.

The connector on your fan is a "pass thru" connector. It allows a daisy chain connection of devices to a single molex or 4 pin connector.
